Private School
We are in close contact with a big, local private school in Pushkar, where the children receive education from nursery class to 12th grade – then they can start in college. We currently have more than 75 children enrolled in the private school.
Here the children receive education in English, Hindi, math, social and artistic disciplines and computer. They arrive at the school at 8.30 in the morning and a free around 1-2 pm – six days a week. All our private school children are sponsored by private individuals from all over the world. If you are interested in sponsoring a student, please go to Get Involved/Donate
After School Program (Tuitions)
Once the children finish their classes in the private school, they have the opportunity to come to our Project House. We have a private teacher who helps the children with the daily homework. The children come in different runs since they get free at different times from the private school. The tutoring is important and necessary as the parents are illiterate and can not help with homework.
After the tutoring we all eat together. The food, consisting of rice, lentils, beans and vegetables, is an important item on the agenda. The children get energy and the extra meal is important for normal growth.
In addition to teaching and food, the children can play freely. They paint, draw, watch movies, dance, play music and football and much more. If you come and visit us at the Project House you are welcome to play with the children, help them with homework or host your own work shops.
